“What did you see in me?” asked the Bunny to the Fox.
“I saw everything.” Replied the Fox.
“I saw the sun and the moon.”
“I saw the entire universe.”
“I saw the kindest eyes.”
“I saw the most amazing smile I’ve ever seen.”
“I saw a laugh so pure, so honest.”
“I saw the softest hugs and the gentlest kisses.”
“I saw your heart.”
“I saw unlimited time together.”
“I saw love, unconditional…till I didn’t.”
“I saw elation…till I didn’t.”
“I saw effort…till I didn’t.”
“I saw our future…till you took it.”
“I saw a person who chose me…until they didn’t.”
“I saw a person who never got tired of me…until they did.”
“I saw a person who didn’t want to let go but needed to.”
“I saw a person who said anything but what they wanted or felt.”
“I saw a person who valued independence, but made me dependent.”
“I saw your flaws.”
“I saw your demons.”
“I saw your struggles.”
“I saw your pain and your hurt.”
“I saw your scars and your past.”
“I saw your damage.”
“I saw someone pull away and detach.”
“I saw an excited smile give way to sorrow.”
“I saw your mind wonder, and the spark once glimmering fade from your eyes.”
“I saw the person I love and will always love.”
“I saw our time run out.”
“But most of all I saw you…all of you.”
“Do you still see all of that?” asked the Bunny.
“…I see it’s time to say goodbye.” whispered the Fox, begrudgingly.
“Goodbye.”
